CHEM 583

In this course, we will use material published on peer-reviewed journals to explore concepts and methods used to develop cutting-edge research at the interface between Chemistry and Biology. Topics will include chemical modification of RNA and proteins, unusual enzymatic reactions, profiling of naturally-occurring modifications of proteins that lead to diseases, role of motions in macromolecules, de-novo computational design of enzymes, and paleobiochemistry.
